ABOUT
Hazel O’Sullivan is a multi-disciplinary visual artist from Ireland working in sculpture, painting and textiles, experimenting with retrofuturism and domestic materials to dissect the modernisation of her cultural heritage.
Her work presents as a shuffle-mode miscellany of collective memory longing for a more innocent age, encouraging the viewer to think more deeply about the materials we surround ourselves with. By reassessing an assortment of interior traditions in a contemporary retro-conscious light, her collaged combinations of domestic materials blur the boundaries between past, present and future.
